EN:Able Futures seeking companies to host displaced apprentices


Due to the pandemic five apprentices have been displaced and need new host companies to take them on.

Due to the Covid19 pandemic some of EN:Able Futures apprentices have been displaced and are looking for new companies to host them. 

They are employed by EN:Able Futures so there is no need for businesses to commit to a full length apprenticeship. As a host you just take them on for as long as you require them. Our apprentices come CITB HS&E qualified with CSCS Cards, PPE, mentor support, college enrolment and site experience.

Josh - Electrical Apprentice (2nd Year) Rotherham / Barnsley / Sheffield

Josh is a driver and he has had a year’s experience working in commercial properties working alongside different trades and using power tools:

  • Stripping and installation of armoured, data and power cables
  • Working with different types of circuits and lighting around buildings
  • Installation and repairs of plug sockets, fuses and lights

 

Joe - Electrical Apprentice (1st Year) Huddersfield and surrounding areas

Joe is a driver and is keen to learn the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Electrician. His work experience includes:

  • Shadowing an experienced Electrician
  • Wiring plugs and sockets
  • Stripping and pulling cables through for rewires of commercial buildings

 

Tom - Site Management Trainee (3rd Year) Sheffield and surrounding areas

Tom is a driver and has 3 years site supervision experience working on a Sheffield City Council housing refurbishment project. His experience includes:

  • Creating Programme of Works for Operatives and Sub Contactors
  • Carrying out Toolbox Talks
  • Checking Asbestos reports for domestic properties, arranging removal of and DPI installations of contractors for the job.
  • Site Health & Safety and Competence inspections
  • Inputting dates, figures onto programs and spreadsheets
  • Attending meetings with clients and sub-contractors
  • Liaising with senior management team

 

Jack - Site Management Trainee (2nd Year) Leeds and surrounding areas

Jack is a driver who has had nearly a year’s experience of working on a large construction site:

  • Delivering H&S Site inductions to new site operatives
  • Undertaking health and safety reporting
  • Managing labour and directing Site Operatives
  • Build progress reporting
  • Snagging reports
  • Controlling areas of the project to ensure RAMS adhered to
  • Fire sock reporting
  • Cavity Barrier and Fire Door inspections

 

Sean - Site Joinery Apprentice (2nd Year) Pontefract / Wakefield

Sean is reliable, motivated and keen to be given the opportunity to complete his Level 2 apprenticeship within the next few months. He has had prior experience working on new build properties:

  • Measuring and cutting timber
  • Use of power tools
  • 1st and 2nd Fix Joinery
  • Shuttering
  • Structural Joinery
  • Fitting dormers
