Construction is now underway on 31 new Rotherham Council homes in Eastwood, Rotherham: marking another step forward in Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council’s (RMBC) ambitious plan to deliver 1000 affordable new homes for local people by summer 2027.
Procured through EN:Procure’s Gen4 New Build Framework via direct award, the development showcases how compliant procurement can drive projects swiftly and efficiently from planning through to construction.
The Eastwood scheme is one of three live housing developments currently being delivered through the ongoing partnership between Efficiency North and RMBC. Once complete, it will provide a vibrant mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses and apartments for affordable rent, helping meet local housing need and fuel the growth of thriving, sustainable communities.
Working alongside contractor GS Kelsey Construction Limited, the project is already generating positive social value from the outset, with early contributions supporting local schools and community organisations.
