THE CHALLENGE
The Social Mobility Fund was one of EN:Able Communities’ funding gateways for communities. Its aim was to target support into employment and skills initiatives to assist individuals with barriers to the labour market, living in Yorkshire and Humber’s hardest hit communities.
After the Fund launched in December 2019, EN:Able Communities received 50 applications from across the region for grants of up to £5,000 and up to £10,000 before the closing date at the end of January 2020.
All applications were reviewed by Efficiency North’s Joint Tenant Panel and their appraisal then reviewed by EN:Able Communities’ Board of Trustees in March 2020. 7 projects were awarded partial or full grants from the total pot of £50,000, which was generated through EN:Procure’s frameworks.
