THE CHALLENGE
EN:Able Build have brokered a £9m scheme of 56 new retirement living homes in the town of Balby, Doncaster, for Housing 21 – national providers of retirement living and extra care.
THE OUTCOME
The ground-breaking ceremony, which was attended by representatives from Housing 21, City of Doncaster Council, Hoober Urban Partnerships Limited, and Together Housing Group marked the start of construction for the scheme, located on Sunningdale Road. Homes England have provided a grant of £3.8m, which will support the build of 13 two-bedroom bungalows and 43 one- and two-bedroom apartments – all available for social rent.
