ISTVÁN BARANYI

EXPERIENCE

István has several years of experience in procurement and supply chain management. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from University of Szeged in Hungary and spent a semester as an exchange student at Hochschule Augsburg in Germany, where he studied International Business. He began his career as a junior buyer and later carried on as a strategic buyer at one of the largest agriculture companies in Central Europe. In 2017, István moved on to a purchasing and product admin back-office position at a traditional, family-owned building merchant in Skipton. He joined EN:Procure Ltd. in 2021 as a procurement coordinator and he has led the procurement team since 2022.

SKILLS & EXPERTISE

Originally from a procurement, purchasing and project management background, István developed his skill and experience to become a qualified Procurement Professional (CIPS Level 4 – Diploma and CIPS Level 3 – Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Chain), a Project Manager ( Prince2 Foundation & Practitioner Levels), a Change Manager (APMG Foundation & Practitioner Levels) and a Mental Health First Aider (RSHP Level 3). He was the procurement support for few multi-million pounds reconstruction and refurbishment projects in Hungary. In the last couple of years, he and his team successfully managed several Framework tenders and DPSs at EN:Procure. István has built significant knowledge in public procurement in both Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Regulations 2024.
