We are delighted to announce that Nathan Brown, EN:Procure Assistant Framework Manager, has been chosen as one of this year’s Top 30 Under 30 young professionals in South Yorkshire.
Winning this accolade will give Nathan the opportunity to undergo 12 months of coaching and development through the Leadership Excellence Acceleration Programme (LEAP). The programme provides winners with the unique opportunity to enhance their leadership skills led by industry experts in leadership, self-development and communication. It also campaigns to raise awareness of the various career opportunities available in the region, including the different pathways to success, and the range of professional industries that operate in the area.
2026 has seen several large organisations put their talent forward for selection, including Keepmoat, Gleeson Homes, Rotabroach, Premier Foods, Insight & Strata.
Top 30 Under 30 first began in the Hull and Humber region in 2017 and has supported 35 winners to become directors, 14 ‘heads of’ departments, 3 in ‘group’ positions and over 100 new managers.
Nathan joined EN:Procure in 2019 as an apprentice in Construction and the Built Environment through Enable Futures, studying at Leeds College of Building. After completing his apprenticeship, he secured a permanent role in 2020 as an Assistant Framework Manager. From an early stage, Nathan demonstrated strong commercial awareness, supporting high-value framework procurements, call-offs, tender documentation, procurement evaluations, and contract preparation — directly contributing to compliant, value-for-money outcomes for our members. Nathan completed his BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying at Leeds Beckett University whilst working full time. This achievement is particularly significant given the substantial personal and health challenges he faced during his studies, including the loss of his daughter Lily and undergoing major aortic stent surgery in 2024. Despite these pressures, Nathan consistently maintained a high level of performance, demonstrating exceptional resilience, discipline and commitment.
Simon Jones, founder of Top 30 Under 30s, said: “I am delighted to announce this year winners, and our Class of 2026. Today is about recognising and celebrating the contribution of the region’s best young people. This group have made a significant difference to their organisations, to their teams, to the local business community and it is an honour to showcase who they are, and what they have contributed.
“By delivering the Top 30 Under 30 process, we hope to create an evidence-based narrative that helps shifts the often common perception that you need to leave the area to climb the career ladder, whereas in fact there are jobs, careers and progressive opportunities worth staying for.”
“It’s fantastic to see a wide variety of businesses getting involved, and I’m looking forward to working with our winners to develop their skillset.”
Emma Mottram, Director of Operations at EN:Procure, said, ”I’m so proud of Nathan. He’s worked unbelievably hard, pushed through challenges most people would struggle to imagine, and still brings real energy, positivity and a fearless drive to shake things up. Seeing him named in the Top 30 Under 30 is absolutely fantastic. He’s earned every bit of it, and I can’t wait to see what he does next.”
Lee Parkinson, Chief Executive, Efficiency North, said, “Nathan is an excellent example to other young people that if you pick a path, stick to it and work hard, you will realise your ambitions. In addition, he has a great team around him that have undoubtedly contributed to his success, and I am sure he will continue to enjoy that in the future. He should be justifiably proud of this significant achievement and enjoy the added value that it will bring.”
Nathan Brown said, “I’m incredibly proud and grateful to be recognised as part of the Top 30 Under 30 for South Yorkshire. I’ve been fortunate to develop my career at EN:Procure alongside supportive colleagues and mentors who have consistently challenged and trusted me. This recognition is a huge honour and I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to continue developing through the LEAP programme and giving back to the region that has shaped my career.”
