EN:Procure appoints Impact to measure up social return on investment for members, customers and communities
EN:Procure has partnered with Impact Social Value Reporting Ltd to help track its social impact and initiatives.
Founded in 2017, Impact Reporting is a social impact portal that helps public, private and third sector organisations lead with purpose and improve the way they generate and report on their social value and sustainable initiatives. The platform will make it easier for EN:Procure to measure, evaluate and visualise its social value and sustainability progress.
As part of the new venture, Efficiency North will also sit on the advisory board of MeasureUp, a new valuation framework tool that will help convert social value and ESG activities into measurable outcomes. MeasureUp will launch this summer and follows the HM Treasury Green Book’s wellbeing guidance and uses the WELLBY valuation method to take data to calculate social return on investment.
Key responsibilities of this role will include providing strategic direction and decision-making, reviewing and advising on the current structure, content and functionality of MeasureUp, and proposing areas of improvement for the next phases of development.
Impact Reporting will also be playing a key role in the implementation of EN:Procure’s ESG strategy across Gen-4 frameworks, which will be led by ESG manager Joe Came. The portal will support ESG delivery across all stages of contractor engagement, focusing on the tender process, data capture, and analysis and reporting, and will allow bidding contractors to submit ESG bids directly to the portal. The EN:Procure team will also be able to easily review updates throughout contract durations, as well as retrieve data which will be used for analysis, reporting and sharing.
Lee Parkinson, chief executive of Efficiency North, said: “It’s a very exciting step for us to work with Impact Reporting as our ESG portal partner and serve on the Advisory Group of the MeasureUp ESG measurement and valuation model. Replicating our considerable track record for working with SME’s, Impact is an ambitious tech SME and has demonstrated great innovation and flexibility in its service offer, which will act as a catalyst for the delivery of our new ESG strategy – an integral component of our new Gen 4 frameworks.
“We already have an excellent reputation for real social value delivery, and we will now widen the focus of that through our ESG strategy in partnership with our members and supply chain. We are excited to begin working with Impact Reporting and to developing a strong working relationship for years to come.”
Matt Haworth, Co-Founder of Impact Social Value Reporting Ltd, said: “We are thrilled to partner with EN:Procure to enhance their social value and ESG tracking capabilities. Our platform is designed to simplify and improve the way organisations measure and report on their social impact. By integrating our platform with EN:Procure’s processes, we aim to facilitate more transparent, effective, and actionable reporting.
“We are excited about the launch of MeasureUp and look forward to Lee’s contribution to its development, ensuring it becomes a pivotal tool for converting activities into measurable outcomes. This collaboration marks a significant step towards more transparent and impactful social value reporting in the social housing industry, and we are excited to contribute to EN:Procure’s mission of driving sustainable progress.”
EN:Procure’s ESG strategy is a framework for a more resilient and sustainable way of doing business, which focuses on converting insights into actions. The strategy has a contractor-elective format which gives contractors greater choice and control over how they deliver ESG, offering contractors a menu of ESG Units to select from to meet their requirements.
EN:Procure has also seen great success in delivering training through frameworks and has delivered almost 700 apprenticeships since FY 2014/15, helping to upskill trainees in the north of England.
