EN:Able Communities lead made Associate of regional climate commission

EN:Able Communities Head of Operations Simeon Perry has been accepted as an Associate of the Yorkshire & Humber Climate Commission.

In this role he will give his support and guidance as co-chair of their Skills flagship project, alongside Simon Bowens, Regional Campaigns Organiser Yorkshire and North East, Friends of the Earth, and Oliver Harmar, Chief Operating Officer, Natural England.  Simeon will draw on his knowledge and experience of retrofit and skills needs in the construction sector to help drive positive action.

Associates are part of the Commission on their own individual merit and are expected to embody the four aims of the Commission in their work and bring their expertise and skills to actively contribute to one or more of the Commission’s groups or flagship projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for Simeon to share best practice, collaborate with other individuals and organisations committed to the climate agenda in the region and contribute to actioning the commission’s Climate Action Plan.  New research by the Commission evaluated over 700 interventions to identify credible carbon reduction pathways and is leading an innovative climate adaptation programme for local authorities.
