Kameron’s journey is a brilliant example of the impact that apprenticeships can have—not just in shaping careers, but in building confidence, skills, and ambition. In a recent video interview, he spoke candidly about what inspired him to take the apprenticeship route, the challenges he faced along the way, and how the support he received from EN:Able Futures helped him stay on track.
“What appealed to me about this path was the chance to learn on the job while studying something I actually enjoy. I get to be involved before a project even gets to site, which is really rewarding.”
Balancing college, work responsibilities, and the need to track off-the-job training hours wasn’t always easy, but Kameron rose to the challenge—with the help of regular check-ins and support from both EN:Able Futures and his host employer, Alan Wood & Partners.
“They’ve supported me all the way through, whether it was a quick chat when I needed it or regular reviews to make sure I was on the right path.”
Kameron’s determination and proactive mindset meant he was able to complete his apprenticeship early, allowing him to get a head start on his next steps: continuing into higher education with a part-time HNC and planning for future progression towards a degree apprenticeship.
“I wanted to keep that momentum going while I’m still eager to learn. The support from Alan Wood & Partners has made that possible.”
As Kameron reflects on his growth both personally and professionally, he credits the apprenticeship for pushing him out of his comfort zone and giving him the confidence to pursue further education.
🎉 A huge well done to Kameron from everyone at EN:Able Futures! We’re proud to have been part of your journey and look forward to seeing what you achieve next.
