Unity Homes & Enterprise appoint Equans to deliver excellent value repairs contract

Unity Homes & Enterprise Housing Association contacted EN:Procure seeking a reliable contractor to deliver responsive, voids and planned repairs work. Their current contract was coming to an end, and they were looking for a contractor who understood the requirements of the service, had substantial experience, could ‘hit the ground running’, were able to provide a partnering approach, and were based nearby geographically. Equans had all these attributes and more and were the perfect choice.

This was an ideal opportunity to utilise EN:Procure’s 4th generation framework for Installation, Servicing, Maintenance and Repair Works (GEN4) via Lot 7A. Because of tight timescales to get a contract into place, and a need to have quality dialogue to ensure a smooth transition to the new provider, the option of a direct selection in accordance with framework provisions took place. A final contract of 5 years + 2 +2 was agreed offering excellent value for Unity Housing.

Katherine Proctor, Director of Housing Operations at Unity Homes & Enterprise Housing said they were “very happy with the support EN provided them on this tender, ensuring everything was in place to effectively mobilise the contract on time.”

Chris Munden, Head of Commercial at Equans Regeneration said, “Thank you to EN:Procure for facilitating the successful contract award to Equans through their the new EN Procure framework (GEN4). We have a long-standing and very successful relationship with EN:Procure, and this latest collaborative approach enables us to deliver high-quality responsive, voids and planned repairs works for Unity Homes & Enterprise and their customers. We are extremely happy with the support from EN and most importantly their commitment to provide an excellent service throughout.”

Emma Mottram, Director of Operations at EN:Procure said, “We are very delighted to support Unity Homes & Enterprise and their residents and assist in delivering this much needed service. We’ve built on years of procurement experience and expertise in creating our 4th generation framework for installation, servicing, maintenance and repairs, sourcing contractors committed to delivering an outstanding level of service to deliver the exceptional value for our members.”
