New opportunity for Geotechnical & Environmental Engineering Apprentice Technician

Host company Alan Wood & Partners are looking for new Geotechnical & Environmental Engineering Apprentices

We are recruiting two Geotechnical & Environmental Engineering Apprentice Technicians for host company Alan Wood & Partners. One position is based at their Scarborough office, and one is based at their Sheffield premisis.

EN:Able Futures have been working in partnership with Alan Wood & Partners since 2014 when they first became aware of our Shared Apprenticeship Service ability to fulfil their requirements for two Civil Engineering Consulting apprenticeship opportunities.

The new Apprentices will support the daily needs of projects within the respective teams. Following a thorough induction, the successful candidates will embark on an exciting two-year programme where they will be exposed to a variety of disciplines and learn how to use a range of Autodesk products fluently, prepare calculations and become an integral part of the team.

Initially employed through EN:Able Futures for the two year period, our experienced and qualified team will provide continuous pastoral and academic support, aiding achievement and progression for the apprentices.

As hosts, Alan Wood & Partners will support the successful candidates in their professional development, making them a student member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Along with the wealth of experience that they will provide, it will potentially culminate in becoming a Technician member of the ICE.

Alison Ringrose - Business Development Manager - “At Alan Wood & Partners we believe in home grown talent. EN:Able Futures do all the hard work of finding and filtering suitable candidates for us to interview. They understand our business and the type of people who can thrive in it. Our apprentices come in green and learn about all the aspects of the business on the job, so as they become qualified, they are also learning how to operate at quite a high level.”
