Acis Group appoints EQUANS for £22m contract via EN:Procure framework

Acis Group appoints ENGIE EQUANS for £22m maintenance and decarbonisation contract via EN:Procure installation and repairs framework

Efficiency North social housing provider member Acis Group have awarded their £22m planned maintenance contract to EQUANS, (ENGIE’s regeneration and services-led activity arm) via EN:Procure’s Installation and Maintenance framework (Yorkshire & Humber).

The five-year programme of whole house works will focus on improving residents’ lives, as well as the decarbonisation of the housing stock. EQUANS will support Acis Group’s aims to achieve net zero carbon by making thousands of homes warmer and more energy efficient, with improvements including new renewable technologies, insulation and low-carbon central heating.  Homes will also be upgraded with the installation of new kitchens and bathrooms, roofing, fencing and footpaths, as well as the demolition of unused garages.

In accordance with the framework terms, as part of ENGIE’s commitment to delivering real social value, EQUANS will aim to create 22 apprenticeships - one for every £1 million of the contract, across the five-year term of the partnership.

The EN:Procure team provided support and advice preparing tender documentation and helped Acis achieve savings compared to existing rates.

Sean Corcoran, Regional Director at EQUANS, said: “We’re really pleased to have been chosen to help Acis Group upgrade its housing stock.

“This contract is the perfect opportunity for us to combine our expertise in both regeneration and zero carbon technologies, to support our partners in their drive to make their homes more energy efficient, whilst also having a positive impact on thousands of residents.”

Andy Turner, Head of Asset Management at Acis Group, said: “We are delighted to begin this new partnership which will support our internal repairs and maintenance team to help us to deliver the fantastic levels of service that our customers deserve.

“There are a number of exciting new opportunities that this contract can also help us to explore too as we develop our net zero carbon approach, deliver great quality homes, build communities and drive efficiency over the next five years.”

Emma Mottram, Director of Operations, EN:Procure, said: “EN:Procure are delighted to be involved in the procurement of this contract. We look forward to working in partnership with Acis and Engie through their Equans services to deliver efficiencies through partnership working and real social value.”
