EN:Connect Employment & Skills

This forum is open to all social housing landlords operating in Northern England and EN:Able Futures' hosts.

This forum seeks to:

1. Enable connectivity and collaboration between social housing landlords

2. Enable information sharing to support employment and skills development for social housing residents through:

1. a social landlord providing a short presentation on the work it undertakes to support its residents into employment at each meeting.

2. Information about forthcoming bids / services delivered that may be of interest to social landlords

3. A presentation / discussion on a national policy perspective in the Employment / Skills field of interest to social landlords. Previous presenters have included the Department for Work & Pensions and  Local Enterprise Partnerships.

The agenda is standard  for each meeting

1. National Policy update from Communities that Work, led by Lynsey Sweeney, Managing Director

2. Apresentation from EN:Able Futures focusing on the success of individual apprentices

3. A case study by a social housing landlord on how it supports its residents into employment and skills development

4. A presentation/ discussion on a national policy perspective in the Employment/ Skills field that is of interest to social landlords

The forum seeks to meet on a quarterly basis on Wednesday afternoons at 2pm

This Forum needs your input

1. To make this forum work, we need social housing landlords to volunteer presentations about the work they do.  Please tell us your successes and the challenges you've learned from (even the failures!)

2. Ideas that you would like to hear presentations on for future funding opportunities and bids
