Lincolnshire Housing Partnership seeks 28 new apprentices through EN:Able Futures

Efficiency North member LHP looks to massively expand its apprenticeship program with EN:Able Futures over the next 3 years

Efficiency North member Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP) is putting its full weight behind supporting apprenticeships in the housing sector by committing to recruit circa 28 new apprenticeship positions based in Grimsby and Boston over the next three years.

Ten apprenticeships will be provided each year, and this first year will see LHP taking on two Apprentice Property Maintenance Operatives, four Electrical Installation & Maintenance Apprentices and four Apprentice Plumbing and Heating Technicians.

The successful candidates will be employed by EN:Able Futures who will support them through their qualification, whilst being hosted by LHP where they will gain the experience they need to learn their chosen trade.

Not only are LHP hosting the apprentices, they have also donated some of their excess Apprenticeship Levy to EN:Able Futures to pay for the apprentices education and support needs.

Successful candidates for each of these roles will have the fantastic opportunity to learn a trade alongside skilled and experienced employees at LHP, doing vital work to maintain and improve their social housing stock.

Helen Rumbold, Talent Acquisition Manager, LHP - "LHP have always supported apprenticeships, however this is the largest apprenticeship drive LHP has ever had. We are creating around 30 trade apprenticeships over the next three years and we are very happy to have EN:Able Futures on board to recruit and support the new apprentices who will go on to become our next fully qualified Electricians, Plumbers and Maintenance Technicians.”

Julie Deeley, Director of Operations at EN:Able Futures  - “We are thrilled that LHP are taking on so many new apprentices. This commitment is the kind of long-term view that is needed in the social housing sector to build up an experienced and locally based workforce that is able to plug any future skills gaps, and it provides brilliant career opportunities for young people in the area.”
