Due to open in two weeks’ time, the Humber Construction Hub is nearing the end of its build phase with several key works now 100 per cent complete.
The works completed include laying foundations for cabins, cycle parking, boundary electric box and carpark barriers, laying tarmac, trenches and ducting for mains cables, hoardings built and painted, and the power kiosk is in position. Barriers to the car park have also been fitted and CCTV installed.
Finally all the cabins have been delivered and installed, and the workshop area has been built by primary contractor Excel Modular. To top it all off E-On have installed the power meter.
Soon the Hub will training the Humber construction workers of tomorrow, but it can't do it all by itself. We are asking for local businesses to support the Hub, either through direct sponsorship, or with donations of materials and tools. If you think you can help click here.
