G4C North East awards: Winners for Trade and Technical Apprentice of the Year announced


As sponsors of this year's G4C North East Awards, EN:Able Futures had the pleasure of announcing the winners of Trade and Technical Apprentice of the Year.

This year's Generation for Change Awards North East was a glamours black tie event that took place on Thursday 26 May at the Newcastle-Gateshead Hilton Hotel.

As sponsors for the Trade and Technical Apprentice of the Year award categories, the EN:Able Futures team was in attendance, along with Efficiency North Chief Executive, Lee Parkinson, and Board Member Independent Director,  Richard Hinchliffe.

Winners are selected across various categories including Innovation, Integration & Collaborative Working, Value, Digital Construction and Modern Methods of Construction. Two new categories were added this year – Residential Project of the Year and Equality Diversity and Inclusion.

Julie Deeley, Director of Operations at EN:Able Futures presented the award for Technical Apprentice of the Year to this year's winner Laura McClore (pictured below), who was nominated and is employed by FaulknerBrowns Architects.

The Trade Apprentice of the Year was presented by William Oliver, Senior Apprenticeship Manager at EN:Able Futures. For this category there were two winners - Dylan Powell (his father collected the award on his behalf, pictured below) who is employed by Gowland and Dawson

The second award for Trade Apprentice of the Year went to David Harrison (pictured below) who is employed by TClarke.

A fabulous night was had by all in attendance, with the North East regional winners now looking forward to being part of the national final taking place in the Autumn. We wish them all the best of luck.
