With exam results around the corner for many young people aged 16 to 18, EN:Able Futures has organised a free webinar on 11 August at 11am to talk about the career routes available to them in the construction and built environment sector.
Apprenticeships are a key part of the governments ‘Opportunity Guarantee’ programme that has been designed to boost the economy after Covid19. With more investment in construction skills and training, now is a great time for young people to seriously consider starting an apprenticeship.
The free webinar titled: What does a career in construction look like? takes place on 11 August form 11 am to 12noon. It will give insights into the types of careers available, the skills and training needed and how to find the right apprenticeship that you want to do.
Our guest speakers will include EN:Able Futures Apprentice, Amelia Johnson-Lynch, who has just completed her apprenticeship in Construction Management while working at Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing. She will talk about her experience as an apprentice and a woman working in construction.
We'll also have Adam Corbally join us. Adam was a finalist on the hit TV show The Apprentice. He left school with no qualifications and knows how daunting life after school and college can be. He’ll share his ideas about setting and achieving your life goals.
Leeds College of Building be there to talk about apprenticeships and courses available in construction and the built environment.
