First apprentice in North East appointed

EN:Able Futures have taken on the first apprentice based in the North East since expanding into the region last month.

The EN:Able Futures North East team are delighted to announce that they have taken on their first apprentice.

The first apprentice to be appointed is Jack Gilbert from Consettt, County Durham. He will be hosted by a new host Inside Contracts, and is an apprentice floor fitter; an apprenticeship standard EN:Able Futures have not previously worked with.

Things have moved fast since EN:Able Futures became the only organisation in the North East providing a Flexi-Job Apprenticeship Service in Construction, with the team quickly building up a network of contacts with many apprenticeship positions already in the pipeline.

William Oliver, Senior Apprenticeship Manager, said: "We are delighted that the first host in the North East we are working with is Inside Contracts, and we are looking forward to adding some fresh talent to their workforce with a our new apprentice. And as it is an apprenticeship standard we haven't had before it's like two firsts in one."
