EN's Social Value receives HACT stamp of approval

Efficiency North's Social Value delivery receives HACT certificate of approval as one of 'most impressive' they've ever seen

Efficiency North are very pleased to announce that our Social Value delivery has once again received the prestigious stamp of approval from HACT for our application of the Social Value Bank.

HACT’s report showed that Efficiency North’s SROI (Social Return on Investment) in 2018-2019 achieved a ratio of  1 : 18.53 overall, with 1 : 28.94 in direct Community Investment alone and 1 : 8.11 through our Apprenticeship/Employment activities.

The Social Value team again surpassed all the organisation’s Employment and Training targets for the business year, delivering 238 opportunities for priority groups in our social housing landlord members’ communities.

HACT is the housing sector's ideas and innovation agency, delivering thought leadership and driving new ideas for business transformation through its platform of research, impact measurement and data analytics, as well as through its engagement with other sectors and work on connected technologies.

Social Value lead Paul Mitchell commented, “It’s great to receive HACT’s certification and their positive comments about our work. It gives us additional reassurance that our sustained efforts to improve the social mobility and wellbeing of individuals through EN's procurement activities are effective and achieving quality outcomes.  It’s very exciting to be able to deliver so much targeted support where it has the most impact in our social housing landlord membership’s communities across the region.”

HACT representative Isobel Kiely commented, “Efficiency North’s calculator and general social value work was one of the most impressive and well organised I’ve had the pleasure of seeing."
