EN:Able Futures is celebrating a double success following the prestigious West Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards this week.
EN:Able Futures were awarded SME Employer of the Year, with Construction Apprentice of the Year scooped by former apprentice Dan Voke.
During a black-tie evening held at Tileyard North’s creative industries hub on Wednesday 24 May 2023, winners across 11 categories were announced at the annual ceremony.
Julie Deeley, director of operations at EN:Able Futures: “Receiving this accolade is fantastic recognition for our team and the commitment we demonstrate to removing barriers for companies to employ apprentices. As a small team of six, we punch well above our weight in apprenticeship delivery, with up to 70 individuals at once completing their qualifications, so to be named SME Employer of the Year is a huge achievement.”
EN:Able Futures aims to bridge the skills gap in the built environment sector by offering apprenticeships across both trade and technical roles that are hosted by a range of diverse organisations.
Host businesses have the option to take on an apprentice for either part of or the full duration of the qualification, allowing flexibility for those operating in sectors where it is difficult to commit to traditional apprenticeship models to reap the benefits of having apprentices as part of their workforce.
Alongside the company’s win, Dan Voke wh was until recently an EN:Able Futures apprentice, was named Construction Apprentice of the Year. Dan started as an apprentice site manager in 2021 and has already progressed to assistant site manager at Oculis Construction Consultants, based in Leeds.
