Efficiency North is proud to announce the launch of its new company EN:Able Build. This venture will accelerate the delivery of affordable new-build housing schemes in the region by facilitating the building of projects that might otherwise have been delayed or not developed at all.
In a housing market that is traditionally dominated by larger housing developers, EN:Able build seeks to shake up the industry and disrupt the status quo by putting more power in the hands of smaller enterprises.
EN:Able Build will focus on working with small and medium enterprises that wish to enter the new build housing market, but lack experience in managing development and planning processes. The company will work collaboratively with these companies to arrive at the right blend of development and building skills that fit their individual needs.
New build housing delivery isn’t the new venture's only focus. EN:Able Build will also work to bring forward sites with developed infrastructure and serviced plots for self-build customers and Small and Medium Enterprises.
EN:Able Build has two projects already in development and a number of other schemes in the pipeline. As a not-for-profit company, EN:Able Build’s management team will be based in Efficiency North’s office in Meadowhall, Sheffield. It will work closely with colleagues in EN:Procure, EN:Able Futures, and EN:Able Communities to maximise project outcomes and bring the very best of Efficiency North’s offer to new affordable housing developments.
Efficiency North Holdings’ Chief Executive, Lee Parkinson, commented: “’The establishment of EN:Able Build sees Efficiency North move into a developer role that intrinsically complements its current offering. The launch of EN:Able Build is the final cog in the machine that will allow us to provide a comprehensive procurement, social value, training, and delivery offer. Together these companies rise to the challenge of providing greater efficiency, helping tackle both the housing crisis and the skills crisis in the sector.”
