Bumper Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust

It's time to dig out your favourite Christmas jumper and raise money for charity

In September Efficiency North held a cycling charity fundraising event in honour of our colleague Ashley Winks, a Site Administration Apprentice with the Humber Construction Hub, who was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma, a rare form non-Hodgkins's cancer. You can read more about it here.

Unfortunately, despite undergoing various treatments since then, Ashley’s' condition has not improved. He is now receiving a course of radiotherapy treatment that will give him more time and enable him to spend Christmas with his family.

To raise more money for Teenage Cancer Trust (Ashley’s nominated charity), Efficiency North is holding a Bumper Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 11 December for staff, their families and anyone else how wants to join in.

Anyone can take part by simply making a minimum donation of £2 and wearing your favourite Christmas Jumper

Donations can be made here: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/SomeoneSpecial/AshleyWinks¬

We’d love to see photos of you and yours in wonderful Christmas winter wear, so on Friday please send your photos to: peter.morris@efficiencynorth.org

To try and raise as much money as we can, please also share your Christmas Jumper photos and the Virgin Money Giving page linked above on social media, tagging @EfficiencyNorth and using the following hashtags:

#BumperChristmasJumperDay

#teenagecancertrust

Throughout his illness, Ashley has received a great deal of support from Teenage Cancer Trust, and all donations will go to this charity. They are the only UK charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing, care and support to young people with cancer.
