During February the team were able to kick start the recruitment days for our exciting new EN:Able Futures Academy. We were pleased by the interest and quality of applicants for our Housing & Asset Management Apprenticeship and invited interested candidates over a number of days to learn more about about apprenticeships and the asset management sector.
Interested applicants came along to gain an insight and learn about the housing sector more broadly. They participated in activities based around journey planning, personal presentation skills and worked together to create two pieces of art. They were asked to visually interpret their expectations for their apprenticeship which produced some fantastic results, these will be displayed in our 'Academy' space in Sheffield. All candidates were assessed on key skills during the day such as communication, team working, confidence and motivation-areas in which they all excelled.
One of the candidates, Reece, said: ‘’I found today really helpful as it made me understand apprenticeships. The people leading the day have been really helpful and clear and have made the day enjoyable.’’
Another candidate, Mahya said: ‘’Today I have been given insight into apprenticeships and how shared apprenticeships work. The support being provided allows you to share your opinions and ask questions freely. I have thoroughly enjoyed the assessment day and would love to thank Hannah and Mark for making me keen on becoming part of this organisation.’’
