Rising Star Bradley Shines in BIM Apprenticeship at CAD21

In a promising start to his professional journey, 17-year-old Bradley Barker has made an indelible impression as a Building Information Modelling (BIM) apprentice at CAD21.

Bradley, hailing from the seaside and port town of Hartlepool, has been pursuing a Level 3 Digital Engineering Apprenticeship with Hartlepool College while immersing himself in the world of Building Information Modelling (BIM) .

From the moment he stepped foot into CAD21, it was evident that Bradley possessed a remarkable blend of ambition, dedication, and a genuine interest in his new career path. His journey began with a successful sifting interview, where he stood out as a strong candidate. Subsequently, Bradley aced his contractor interview, further solidifying his position as an invaluable asset to the company.

Beyond his exceptional work ethic and unwavering commitment, Bradley also boasts a well-rounded personality. When he's not honing his BIM skills, he can be found pursuing his love for football. Not content with merely spectating, he has already joined the CAD21 football team, allowing him to cultivate a sense of camaraderie with his colleagues both inside and outside the office.

The BIM team at CAD21 has warmly embraced Bradley, offering guidance and support throughout his journey. As he delves deeper into the intricacies of digital engineering, he has also been liaising with colleagues from different CAD21 offices, enabling him to foster cross-functional relationships and broaden his professional horizons.

Reflecting on his first few weeks at CAD21, Bradley said: "The first few weeks of my apprenticeship have been great; I'm already learning lots. Everyone here at CAD21 has made me feel very welcome and supported, and I am really enjoying everything so far."

John Dixon, BIM Manager at CAD21's Teesside branch, attests to Bradley's seamless integration into the team. "Bradley settled in really well; he's great to work with, comes in and gets on with it," Dixon remarks. "It is fantastic to have someone here who is eager to learn and work towards building a successful career. He gets along with everyone and is a great addition to the team."

Bradley's apprenticeship journey has also drawn praise from Sophie Richardson, his Apprenticeship Manager at EN:Able Futures CIC, who recently conducted his first review, she said: "I visited Bradley today for his first review, and it was clear that he has settled into the team really well and has already joined the CAD21 football team! I look forward to catching up with Bradley in September at his next review."

With his infectious enthusiasm and determination Bradley is well on his way to forging a successful career in the world of BIM. As he continues to learn, grow, and make valuable contributions to his team, the future looks brighter than ever for this budding talent from Hartlepool.
