Jacob joins EN:Able Futures as our latest groundworker apprentice

Jacob begins new career as groundworker.

Jacob has started to learn his trade as a groundworker with host Eurovia Contracts, who together with other associated companies are responsible for improving over 50,000 kms of the UK’s highways network.

Based in Sheffield, Jacob will be studying for his qualifications with Sheffield City College.

Jacob is 16 and wasn’t to sure what do after finishing his GCSEs. After giving some thought to what his next steps would be and talking to EN:Able Futures about apprenticeships he decided that groundworking sounded right for him.

Jacob's Apprenticeship Manager will work closely with him and his host to ensure he is getting the most from his placement and is on the right road to build a bright career.
