Meet the speakers in this session

Lynsey Sweeney - Managing Director, Communities That Work

Lynsey Sweeney is the Managing Director of Communities that Work. She has worked across housing, employment and skills for a decade, with Communities that Work and the National Housing Federation. Lynsey was a director at a central London Further Education College, co-founded the first Apprenticeship Training Agency in the UK and consulted for KPMG on their World Class Skills programme. Prior to this, Lynsey worked for VSO in China, Ethiopia and London

Lynsey will be providing the National Policy update as standard in this session.

Craig Stone - Community Investment Manager, Great Places Housing Association

Craig has 25 years experience working in schools, further and higher education and the community.  He's worked in different local authority areas across Greater Manchester and has undertaken a variety of roles.  Craig joined Great Places in January 2016 as Employment and Skills Manager covering GM South North and South Yorkshire, helping to support their customers and the local community to access employment and training opportunities.  Due to the recent merger with Equity Housing his role has changed and now operates group wide as the Place and Regeneration Manager. 

Kieran Grainger - Partnership Manager, Reed in Partnership

Anna Warner - Partnership Manager, Reed in Partnership

Kieran and Anna are both Partnership Managers working on The Restart Scheme which is a government funded scheme aimed at getting mid to long term unemployed jobseekers back into sustainable employment. As part of their role they work with numerous organisations on a strategic level to make sure the aims of the Restart Scheme are fully understood and to look at how other services can be aligned with the scheme.

There are 3 Partnership Managers that work on this contract area.

Matthew Bedford, Community Partnershop Executive, Maximus

Matthew is a Community Partnership Executive currently working for Maximus UK on the RESTART Scheme responsible for Leeds, Wakefield and South Yorkshire to create a Community Partnership Network with Public, Private & Voluntary sectors to provide integral support to long term unemployed.
