Alongside colleagues at Graham, EN:Able Futures’ Civil Engineering Apprentices Zak Whittaker and Byron Webster, helped to collect 497 Easter eggs to give to the Cherry Tree Community Centre in Beverley to ensure every child they support received an Easter egg this Easter.
Graham are currently undertaking much needed road works to reduce severe congestion on the A164 at the Jock’s Lodge junction. The team have built strong relationships with the people who volunteer at the centre and spent weeks collecting Easter eggs, alongside supply chain partners.
The Cherry Tree Community Centre in Beverley plays a vital role in supporting families in and around Beverley with food from their food pantry, offering citizens advice and running a youth club to ensure children from struggling families have food and a safe environment.
Jo Ramsay, Manager of the Cherry Tree Community Centre, said “Thank you so much for the Easter Eggs donation. Every Easter is such a worry as we never know if we can support all our members of the pantry with a chocolate egg, although it’s a time of celebration for some it’s another worry to our members however your donation has exceeded this and now, we know that everyone we support will receive an egg this Easter.”
