We’re proud to celebrate Charlie Brady, who has successfully completed his Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician apprenticeship with his employer EN:Able Futures and host Termrim Construction.
Charlie chose the apprenticeship route over university because it allowed him to combine four days of work with one day of study each week, gaining valuable real-world experience while developing his academic knowledge at Leeds College of Building.
Over the course of his apprenticeship, Charlie built strong technical, communication, and professional skills, while also gaining industry recognition when he won the Higher Apprentice of the Year award at the West Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards.
Reflecting on his experience, Charlie said the mix of learning and working was invaluable:
“The two worked really well together for me. I gained the benefits of college while also learning on the job.”
Now that he has achieved his Level 4, Charlie is progressing to a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying at Leeds College of Building this September, which he will complete alongside his ongoing work in the industry.
Charlie encourages others to follow the apprenticeship route:
“100% do it. Take every opportunity you get, listen, and learn. They don’t come often — like gold dust — so make the most of them.”
Congratulations, Charlie — we look forward to seeing your career continue to grow!
