Social Value Awards 2017


In February 2017 Efficiency North were shortlisted as finalists for the Social Value Leadership Award for an Organisation in the national Social Value Awards, in recognition of the organisation’s achievements from setting social value at the heart of its business activities.

Backed by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport, The Social Value Awards celebrate good practice in commissioning and providing social value and encourage awareness and take up of the Social Value Act.  The judging panel was formed from the previous year’s winners.

The awards ceremony was part of the annual Social Value Summit held on Wednesday 8 February at the Institution of Engineering & Technology in central London opened by Plenary speaker Rob Wilson MP, Minister for Civil Society, who commented, “During the nomination period 60 applications were submitted for consideration and the quality of submissions has been exceptional.  This presents powerful evidence of the positive effect the Act can have.  In each nomintion you can clearly see the passion and commitment to social value.  The result is outstanding progress that demonstrates the potential the Act can have to help commissioners and procurers achieve value for money and design better services.”
