Bridge Homes appoint Termrim to build 114 new homes via EN:Procure framework

Bridge Homes LLP award contract to build 114 affordable new homes in Wakefield to Termrim Ltd via EN:Procure’s new build framework

EN:Procure is pleased to announce that Bridge Homes LLP, a joint venture company formed by WDH and Wakefield District Council, has awarded the contract to build 114 new homes on St Swithins Drive in Stanley, Wakefield, to Huddersfield company Termrim Ltd, through EN:Procure’s new build housing framework.

The contract was awarded via the framework’s detailed price/quality mini-competition process hosted on the Proactis Procontract e-tendering system.  The EN:Procure team worked closely with Bridge Homes LLP at every stage of the project, supporting both the preconstruction and procurement process with the intelligent approaches to procurement and social value embedded within the new build framework.

EN:Procure has already worked with Termrim to deliver a number of successful new build housing schemes for WDH and Together Housing Group through the new build framework.

Efficiency North’s employment arm, EN:Able Futures CIC, will help deliver the 17 apprentice years included in the contract through their flexi-job apprenticeship service, focussing on opportunities for young people in the Wakefield district.

The 114 new homes are mixed tenure for open sale and affordable rent.

Works will commence on site in March 2022 with an anticipated completion date in 2025.

Jason McGarvey, Commercial Director, Termrim Ltd, commented: “Termrim are pleased to have been appointed by Bridge Homes to construct the new St Swithins development under the Efficiency North Framework.  Our team are looking forward to working with the Bridge Homes team to successfully deliver the construction of the 114 new properties.  During this project, we will continue to work closely with Efficiency North and Bridge Homes to support the local community and provide apprenticeship and local labour opportunities.”

Lee Parkinson, Chief Executive, Efficiency North, commented; “I am delighted that EN:Procure has successfully procured this exciting mixed tenure new build housing scheme for Bridge Homes LLP via our new build framework agreement. Our team have worked very hard to support Bridge Homes LLP through the pre-construction and procurement process demonstrating the added value services that our procurement solutions provide. Through a competitive but intelligent procurement process, the award of the scheme to Termrim Limited will not only provide high-quality housing to the Wakefield district but will also generate significant local economic benefits including the delivery of 17 apprenticeship years via our flexi-job apprenticeship scheme managed by our social enterprise, EN:Able Futures CIC. I very much look forward to the schemes development and the wonderful homes that Bridge Homes LLP will offer.”
