FutureWorks (Yorkshire) Ltd, the new company operating the YORfuture CITB approved shared apprenticeship organisation for Yorkshire and Humber are supporting a global property and construction consultancy’s Sheffield office with future workforce development.
The consultancy company, whose core services are cost consultancy, project management and advisory services, are looking to add a Construction Technical Apprentice to its workforce in order to build a strong base for the future. The role will demand a range of skill sets and will provide a structured training path towards a long term career in the construction sector.
Reporting to one of the senior members of the Sheffield-based team, the duties of the role will be varied and will assist the candidate to integrate into the company and its ethos, carry out meaningful projects and complete a level 2 apprenticeship in an appropriate technical construction discipline.
The ideal candidate will be providing general assistance on quantity surveying services, project management and other advisory services offered by the organisation. This could include activities such as, but not limited to, measuring designs and costing against schedule of rates, assisting with the preparation of valuations and analysing tender, attending meetings both in the office and on project sites, as well as other ad hoc duties.
